Stage Reading of Clive Barker’s “Colossus”

Before his fiction became the HELLRAISER movies, Clive Barker wrote stage plays. His last one was “Colossus,” about the painter Goya and his 1811 Spanish patrons. Is there adultery in tale? Of course. Murder? Mistaken identity? Insanity? Human cannibalism? Hell, yes.

I’m acting in a staged reading of the play this Tuesday, May 19, 7 p.m., at Live Arts in Charlottesville, VA. This means the cast reads off the script while a narrator reads stage directions and occasionally plays guitar. So it’s sort of like a radio play . . . but better!

I get to be the cannibal. The role was made for me.

So come on down. The performance is free.
